AuthentiScan is a free tool that estimates whether media may be AI-generated or manipulated. We aim to keep personal data collection minimal and transparent.
Uploads & processing #
- Transient processing: files you upload (images, video snippets, audio, documents) are processed to compute scores and are not retained long-term.
- Derived data: we may keep brief, non-identifying logs of analysis metadata (e.g., file type, size range, processing time, detector flags) to improve reliability and prevent abuse.
- URLs: if you analyze a public URL, our servers may fetch it to extract media/text for scanning.
Logs & diagnostics #
Like most services, we keep standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps, HTTP status) for security and operations. Logs are rotated and access is restricted.
Cookies, ads & consent #
- Consent banner: you can manage advertising-related consent via the on-site banner.
- AdSense: we use Google AdSense to show light ads on content-rich pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or local storage for ad delivery and measurement.
- Essential cookies: we may use strictly necessary cookies for security and basic functionality.
Analytics #
